Job Description:

Course: ENGL 3307  Survey of Children's Literature

The successful candidate will hold a minimum of an M.A. in English or an M.Ed., have a minimum of three year's teaching experience at the college level, and demonstrated expertise in the field of child and adolescent literature, including current research and theory in the field, the historical evolution of children's literature and its reflection of societal values and issues, the range of genres in child and adolescent literature, major writers, major illustrators and the influence and integration of art in children's books.  Experience with and knowledge of students from culturally diverse backgrounds is also essential.

Requirements:
Masters degree required. Preference given for previous undergraduate teaching experience.
